The entrance song though....

Very well managed! Divided into different sections so that you can devote ample time to each. 2- 3 hours should be good enough to cover the zoo.

We are members and there is a night time event where you get to visit the zoo at night after they have set up all these Christmas lights and decorations. I did not think too much about it but figured it would be a different experience to try with my cousins and all our kids, nephews and niece's. It was definitely a WOW experience. Finding parking was a breeze. There were no lines or wait times. While we did not get to see a lot of the animals (most were likely sleeping), the lights were well done and there was plenty to do and photo opportunities abounded. Kudos to the Dallas Zoo for such an event well done!

The animals were fun to look at and being able to interact with a few of them made the trip amazing! I got to brush goats and feed giraffes with friends and we couldn't stop smiling. Facilities were clean but the restaurants were a bit pricey so we ate elsewhere. I would suggest going around 11-12 so that the animals have time to wake up and start moving around so you can have a better experience with them.

I'll be honest. I'm from Dallas so I'm giving the full five stars because of my home town love. We went this weekend while the weather was in the 60s. Everything was super enjoyable and all of the staff was friendly. The children's zoo was perfect for our 19 month old. I suspect it might be a bit too basic for kids over 5 tho. The zoo layout was easy to navigate with a stroller. Be prepared for about 2 hours to see the zoo in full and that's hustling. We ate at one of the cafe's near the monkeys. Expensive but the food was very good. I wish there were some bears and more cats. I did not see any of the reptile exhibits. Looking forward to another family outing in the spring.

Definitely check out those African Giraffes!
