Preston Art Center is the best frameshop I found in the North Dallas/University Park area! The quality of their framing is excellent and is always on time, I would recommend them to everyone! Special thanks to Diana and Jordan!
I have shopped at this store for years. The owner use to be a very upbeat and nice individual....but, that has not been my experience over the last year. My last item to be framed was a disaster. I took in a breakable piece of art and explained that it was precious to me and to take especially good care of it. After not hearing from the shop for a month or more, I went into the store.
Been using them for years. My family members have too. Never an issue even with very fragile and important works. They even built a custom framing system to accommodate a unique photo on aluminum with glued on brackets... A very nice and creative solution. The best around.
The framer is a very good guy. I asked for him to repair the piece and put it in a shadow box. He did. I was charged full price and never received any form of apology. It is disappointing to end a business relationship after so many years. I hope the owner regains her original service skills before learning that business can disappear faster than it takes to build it.
Diana and Jordan were fantastic. They took my overlarge (40x50) painting with traditional gold frame and made it modern with the floater white frame. Looks great in my new abode. Courteous, helpful and competitive.
My piece of art was broken in two places. It was not surprising as I watched them pull it from the bottom of a bin with several items on top of it. Instead of apologizing, the owner and her front desk employee made a theatrical loud production that I brought it in broken. I was nice about it, but politely proved to them that it was brought in as one piece (not three). The two women rudely stated that they do not go around breaking art. They were so clearly posturing to avoid taking any responsibility.
Very knowledgeable and skilled staff. Always offers creative solutions and very generous with their time.
