Very informative and beautifully presented Presidential Library and Museum! Loved to travel back in time and see how short-lived memories are! Even for people who did not vote for G.W.Bush it is quite an experience and gives us time to reflect , and maybe change ones opinion. Decision-making is never easy - and you know afterwards whether one's decision was the right one. An US- President is not an absolute monarch like the Sun King LouisXIV.
I recommend signing in to YELP they have many more photos posted that are not found here on google. Easier to upload there too. Google only allows you to add one photo at a time.
(3.) The small Saddam Hussein exhibit, which you can easily miss if you're not looking for it, holds the pistol Saddam Hussein had with him when captured.
Inside the building was great. Lots of helpful people and interactive displays. Enjoyed everything inside. Couldn't understand the front desk clerk at all. Not sure what he ask but I got in for $19. Seems rather high priced and also had to pay to park. Outside the building looks like it's been abandoned. Tall grass and weeds and small trees everywhere. Maybe this was done on purpose for some enviormental reason but it doesn't help the appearance one bit. I would go again but can't give 5 stars.
Nice Museum. Too bad they can't afford to trim the grass out front. It's growing way high, enough to cut down and feed a ton of horses.
George Bush didn't donate any of his personal items such as a suit he wore as president and shoes so we can see how tall he looks in person. Would have been nice if they had several wardrobe pieces on display, pants, shirts, tuxedos, caps and shoes displayed on a mannequin. It would make the museum more special as if George Bush were there in person.
(2.) Twin Tower exhibit. A large scrap piece is displayed. You can touch it.
Go to YELP for better reviews and photos. It's easier to upload multiple photos there
Those were the three highlights and probably the only things worth seeing in the museum. All other items are items that were gifted to Mr. and Mrs. Bush and in turn they donated it to library.
Beautifully done presidential library. A lot of historical artifacts from the 9/11 time period. Beautiful Oval Office replica.
Spent 5 hours here. The interactive table and decision points were great. Would definitely recommend this to everyone.
Three highlights of the museum are the (1.) replica of the Oval Office. Ask lots of questions. The people who work in the Oval Office LOVE answering questions for tourists.
