For all the right reasons, I wanted to give this a shot and support a local, vegan/vegetarian business. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. I may try again way, way into the future.
Nice try, but just doesn't live up to the hype!
1. A 5 Day Meal Plan by definition includes meals (breakfast, lunch & dinner; plus snacks) for a total of 5 DAYS...NOT 5 Meals Total.
Really delicious vegetarian and vegan food. The owner is really nice and it was such a delight to find her shop at the farmer's market. I tried the strawberry cupcake and it was delicious, and don't get me started on the vegan hot dog. Mnmnm. Can't wait to go back.
6. The PRICE $70+ for 5 meals (only a salad, oatmeal, burger, spaghetti & sandwich) is totally OVERPRICED. $15/per meal.
8. MOST IMPORTANT, not having the option to choose your meals isn't ideal.
Super awesome eco friendly vegan and vegetarian company, cool fast food concept and great organic food. Company donates 5% to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
5. Having a digital answering service is whack! Totally impersonal for the price.
3. Received email stating "We will send a SMS/text message an hour prior to delivery" however, the text message and delivery arrived basically at the same time. Doesn't make sense.
7. About the meals, the presentation is unappetizing. Not pleasing to the eyes. Looks basic and packaged basic. For example, chips were included for 2 of the 5 meals (not what I consider a healthy option; baked or not). Chips were poured out into the plate and not an individual bag of chips. Why not upgrade your presentation, worthy of $70+??
Sounds great but my question is, can I stop in and order a freshly cooked meal or is it only subscription based? I'm coming in from out of town and I was looking for a vegan restaurant to eat at for lunch.
2. Order arrived in Whole Foods bag labeled with another persons' name.
4. Automatic auto renew is not convenient.
