We also noticed that may of the "required" gravestones were broken and grave sites were sunken in. The tractor they used drove right over all of the graves and markers to get to my uncles site, which may explain all the broken markers, which they are supposed to replace, if broken.

Honestly, I recommend finding a smaller funeral home, where the owners care about the families and not about nickle and diming everyone who walks through their doors.

My uncle was buried here on November 11 2017. My grandmother had purchased his plot along with hers at least 20 yrs ago. Before meeting with them for arraignments my family purchased a casket elsewhere. My family was shown only package pricing, when we asked for an itemized list and we were told they "don't do that". We were also given information that the grave marker must be bronze over granite and they charge $2000 to set it, which does not include purchasing the marker. Had my grandmother sign paperwork saying temp marker will be removed in February. We were told that Ann would be there at the graveside making sure everything went smoothly and making sure there is drinking water available at graveside, and if my grandmother felt ill they would take her away to let her rest before bringing her back. Ann, in front of my grieving family, got into a shouting match with the casket company because they called her out about the ridiculous prices they charge. James, the car salesman, I mean funeral home employee, told us he could work with us on pricing. His part started out at $8900 he left the room came back and said good news I can get it down to $8000 even. Now we had already told James that we would do the memorial cards and the video before he said $8000. When we told him that's still too much he leaves the room again and comes back and said he got it down to $7169, we were tired of the back and forth and agreed to this price. Day of service there was no Ann and no drinking water at graveside.

We just buried my brother on 11-11-17. My mom had purchased the plot along with hers some 20 yrs ago. Before meeting with them for arraignments we purchased a casket from Dallas caskets. We as many others have reviewed came were shown only package price, we ask for itemized list and was told that's all they had and they could work with us on the service but there was no negotiations on the burial part ther were 2 people in room one was James other Ann. Ann said her part was not negotiable, not even the $99 paperwork fee. She also gave us the HOA information grave marker must be bronze over granite and they charge $2000 to set it. Had mom sign paper saying temp marker will be removed in February. She said she would be there at the graveside making sure everything went smoothly and making sure there is water at graveside, if mom felt ill she would whisk her way and get her back without anyone noticing. Oh and she had to have us call casket co to "make sure it meet their specifications "and she got into a shouting match with the guy from casket company when he told her the casket he sold us for $1500 was same as they charge $6500 for. James said he could work with us. His part started out at $8900 he left the room came back and said good news I can get it down to $8000 even. While he was out of the room I told Mom we should have said if you can get it down to $7000 then we can manage. Now we had already told James that we would do the memorial cards and the video before he said $8000. When we told him that's still too much he leaves the room again and comes back and said he got it down to $7169. Made us think they were listening in on our conversation. So yeah it was a car sales experience and do we know what our money paid for NO, day of service there was no Ann no water at graveside. After going thru savings we now have to come up with the funds for a marker, and yes we also noticed many markers that the bronze overlay were bent in the middle from the graves collapsed.

Very dissapointed in the way my sister in law was laid out. They did not put makeup on her arms or hands and it was so disturbing. Loving family members touched the scarf that was being used to lay over her arms and it moved away showing black arms, hands and nails. Her face skintone was dark brown and she is white. Shame on you for putting her legs in a plastic bag and not dressing her body properly. I was mortified for my dear sister in law. It was horrifying for her brothers and sister to discover the incomplete job you did in preparing their sister for her funeral. Shame on you!

How many visits to the grave of your loved one can you stand without a headstone? how long can you visit your loved one and stare at the ground without even a temporary marker. It killed me to stand their by my children who's Mother we lost to stomach cancer; and not have even a marker. She was everything to us. It took one year and 2 months for them to put up a temporary marker. It's been 4 months since I paid for the permanant, and can't even get a call back. This place doesn't care. $42,000 dollars is not enough for them to call you back and let you know what the status of your headstone is, they don't care that you visit there without some kind of marker while family members and freinds mourn. Terrible, shameful.

This place needs to clean up their act. SHAME ON RESTLAND FUNERAL SERVICES.

The tribute DVD was lost. No staff member could find it. We only had two hours to say goodbye. It was 6-8 pm. The DVD was found and played at 7:45 pm. The staff was asking the grieving son how to play the DVD. THESE WERE THE LAST MOMENTS HE HAD TO SEE HIS MOM. Why wasn't the DVD prepared and in the DVD player and ready to play hours before the viewing?

I applied for a counseling position here and interviewed with Tom Delozier - Client Services Manager. Tom was very genuine, professional, and personable. He contacted me immediately to have interviews set up and work very hard to speed me through the interview process. Although I did not jump on board today due to personal reasons, I had a positive experience with Tom and Restland Memorial Park. I highly recommend this company based on my personal experience.

Her mourning husband was approached by a manager in the room where family was saying goodbye to the deceased. The manager was trying to get him to sign paperwork in front of everyone. The grieving husband suggested they go to another room away from his guests. The manager was completely unprofessional and cold hearted. How insensitive can you be?

The room was so small. Very hot and uncomfortable. The room was silent. I had to ask a staff member for comforting music to play. She said she would try to find some music and a CD player. Why wasn't this already in the room playing?
