In-depth exhibit about JFK & the lead up to his death in 1963. Reasonable entry fee. Onsite parking for a fee. Onsite gift shop. Highly recommended. Expect delays due to crowds. Book online if possible.

Well worth the visit. The tour through the sixth floor of the old Book Depository is quite informative and self-paced. Each person is issued a play-away audio device and a pair of headphones and you listen to a short narrative at each of about forty sections as you wind your way through. At each stop you will see photos and artifacts, as well as see and hear video and audio clips pertinent to the events being described. This helps bring you back to the look and feel of the era, a real bonus, I think. Plan on spending about two hours or so. Adjacent the museum is the Grassy Knoll we've all heard of. Also, the road in front of the Knoll is marked with two white Xs indicating the place where the first shots impacted and then where the fatal shot occurred.

This museum was informative and offered really poignant views of Elm St. and Dealey Plaza. The interpretive material openly acknowledges the wide range of conspiracies surrounding JFK's assassination and examines the reliability of evidence used by the Warren and House Commission investigations. This museum is a must-visit for history buff in downtown Dallas. A tip: buy tickets across the street ahead of time. You have to wait in line for 10-15 minutes just to buy tickets. Your ticket will then be for a particular time, usually 30-60 min later. Skip that hassle by buying a ticket with the time you prefer either online or across the street (a store related to the museum).

This a very thorough introduction to JFK and the events leading up to and immediately following his assassination. I recommend giving yourself two hours to get through the exhibit, not because it takes quite that long, but because you don't want to have to rush through any of the rich historical resources. P.S. this was a very memorable date spot.

Great museum! When you sign up, it guves the impression that the tour is only 1/2 hour long (because of their tour schedule), but we were there about 2 1/2 hours . . . And could have taken longer. Really enjoyed it! :-)
