I’ve always enjoyed taking in a movie in an old theater or drive in.
The theatre has great Dallas history and they show a great variety of movies and host different events. The interior still has an old school vibe and there is a great bar! The bar has a good selection of beer and fun cocktails that you can order and take into the movie. The service was friendly and attentive at the bar and it was fun to hang out with moviegoers before the show started.

This building is over 80 years old, and still beautiful. The inside feels very classic and is kept clean. This is where they found Lee Harvey Oswald; a must see!
I get the feeling of old Hollywood extravagance at the Texas Theater.
Count on the Texas Theater to bring unique films and as well as a cozy drinking spot. If you show up hungry, they've been offering Campisi's pizzas. Nostalgic and lovable venue.
This is a great little theater to visit. The historic quality is a fine touch on a smooth experience. Staff was super friendly, and the drink options at the bar inside were even better than expected. You might need to park a few blocks away or more depending on time and type of event, but it's still easy to handle. There are parking meters on the street, but they don't apply after 4pm (if I remember correctly), and on weekends. There are some nice little restaurants in the vicinity for a quick bite before an event too.
