Great theater, great service, poor bar...esp for an Uptown location.
COZY & INTIMATE! Appreciate the assigned seating with purchased tickets! Nice bar! Great selection of films! Enjoy their Tuesday night classics on big screen! Need to change the tattered seats in their auditoriums!
Everything here is great except for one unfortunate major flaw. This would be the completely disrespectful loudmouth gossiping theatre manager. I can't and refuse to remember her name but open any movie theater door and you can hear her down the hallway, talking about employees, co-workers and patrons with disdain and unsubstantiated personal opinions. It's a shame that the person in charge single handedly ruins the comfort if an enjoyable movie experience. I've watched her do,it a few times and the last instance, she was talking about ME. After I had paid for a ticket and was seated waiting for a movie to begin. Dump her. FAST. She's a lying disgrace.
I come here once a year to see the a film in this luxurious theater. The seats are comfortable, the audio is great, the screen is large, and overall the atmosphere is what one would expext from a theater attended by the Dallas bourgeois. Keep in mind you must preorder your tickets and choose the seats since it is not likely that you can always buy your tickets at the actual box office. It is by far one of my two favorite theaters in Dallas. If you are looking for a film-lover's movie experience, I recommend it.
Relax and comfortable seat. Also have reasonable price food.
