Unlike other companies, no one showed me to my car and no one did the inspection with me before taking the car off the lot. When I brought the car back, the attendant beckoned me to drive up in the lane right next to a car she was getting out of and as I’m driving up she flings the driver’s side door of the car she just got out of wide open causing me to slam on the brakes to avoid hitting the door of that car and I’m just thinking, “Really?!?! What is she thinking?” I went back to the front desk with my complaint about the charges that I didn’t want and the person there really didn’t seem to care and just told me that Marcello P. was working at Budget Car Rental that day. When I tracked him down at Budget, he was unhelpful said there was nothing he could do. He said to talk to a manager, but I needed to catch a flight and based on the interactions with all the other employees, didn’t think the manager would really care anyway, and that I would just call the customer service number when I got back home—this whole experience was just an unnecessary headache. If you fly into Dallas-Fort Worth and need a rental car to get around—avoid Avis—it’s not worth the hassle and trouble. Go with Enterprise if you can.

Routine excellence from Avis. Ask to e customer service representative for specific directions to locate the rental car return. CSRs are also helpful in providing directions to actually escape the DFW highway maze.

I usually rent from Enterprise when I’m traveling to Dallas for work, had to rent from Avis this time around because Enterprise was out of vehicles when my company was making the reservation for me. I really wish I didn’t have to. The customer service rep at the desk, Marcello P., told me they didn’t have the type of car my company reserved and said they would give me another car for $10 per day, I was in a hurry and didn’t have time to argue or wait around, so I took it. I told Marcello P. that my car insurance for loss/collision is already covered through my company so I didn’t need it from Avis, but he wasn’t very forthright about what I was getting and snuck in those charges anyway. His exact words were that I had “nothing nothing,” yes, he said it twice, confirming that I had neither the basic nor deluxe coverage, and I wanted neither. As I was in a hurry to get to my destination, I didn’t check all the charges at that time and didn’t look at the invoice closely until a little later that week.

Avis is an UNSCRUPULOUS and UNETHICAL Business!!! Go on their Facebook page before renting from them. There are numerous complaints! I was charged for an upgraded vehicle which I did not request nor was I offered or informed it was an upgrade. They have a terrible business practice of sneaking unauthorized charges on your final bill with out disclosing it. There are far TOO many complaints for it to be a random experience and fluke. BEWARE. . . . . They have been reported to the Attorney General's office. I will be filing a formal complaint as soon as I receive my correspondence in the mail. Shame on you Avis!! taking advantage of your customers to increase your revenue. Why don't you try earning business by providing good customer service and not being a THEFT!!!

Best experience ever! It was 1 am when flights were being canceled. We went to Avis to rent a car. They had a brand new suburban big enough for all five adults. They even called in employees to help with all the customers. (One person in our group went to hertz to get a price. We were told because we were on the canceled flight, her price would be $1800!) Avis got us the vehicle and on the road to home for less than $300! The agent told us exactly what space our car was located and we were on our way. Dream drive after such a long day of traveling by air.

Always used Avis on our American road trips , absolutely fantastic customer service , staff are really friendly. Huge selection of cars & SUV's , every one we have rented has been clean , reliable and great value for money. I wouldn't use anyone else.
