After we reviewed everything and as we went out for the usual walk around, i noticed the car wasnt like an airport rental at Enterprise. It was dirty, had several door dings...I pointed them out, 'no worries..' so we quickly walked around. I figured it was substandard becausr its a body shop on northwest hey, it was $18, and didnt worry.
Of course I'm following up on this via several channels! But I would NEVER do business with these shady people! And I would never recommend them to anyone either.
Yep! Scratch on front bumper. I'm 99% sure I had nothing to do with this. AND they have a 'no smoking/no pet policy' I am told. Now. I wasnt told anything about this when I rented. And being a pet person I modt definitely would've done something about it- used another car, or turned that one in after a new approval frim State Farm. But I wasnt told so had no idea! 'Rent the car back to me and I'll have it detailed,' I offered. Nope! $300 and they know tgey tell everyone. They keot repeating that to me.
I BOOK RESERVATION THROUGH 800 AND WAS TOLD THAT THIS LOCATION WAS THE CLOSEST THAT HAD A CAR FOR ME.
THIS OFFICE LEAVES A GREAT DEAL TO BE DESIRED. THEY SEEM TO DO WELL AND CATER TO THEIR REGULARS BUT ANY ONE ELSE FRUSTRATES THEM.
Oh but 15 minutes later I get a call.Car issvratched AND there's prt hair in back! Being a responsible person, I went right hack.
Worst car rental I've ever had. Picked up the car same day as an accident, referred by State Farm. At pickup I discussed at length how long I might have the car, costs, what if I brought it back while out if town, etc.
USE YOUR OWN JUDGMENT, BUT FOR ME IF THERE WAS ANOTHER OFFICE AVAILABLE THAT IS CONVENIENT US THAT ONE.
The staff was great and very quick to take care of me.
IT TOOK OVER TWO HOURS TO GET A SIMPLE PROCESS DONE.
ARRIVED AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE A CAR IN THE CLASS THAT I HAD BOOKED. I HAD BOOKED 'ANY CAR AVAILABLE' THEY FINALLY CLEARED A CAR FOR ME. THEN HAD PROBLEMS WITH THEM PUTTING A HOLD OF $200.00 DEPOSIT PLUS ANOTHER $102.00 ON MY CARD.
On return, 4/14, I went in, turned they keys in opened the rental agreement and things. the guy at the counter talked me through insurance timing while another went out to look over the car. I was the only customer. They processed me and I left.
It's inside the Rusty Wallis Motors. Make a left as soon as you walk in. Pretty good variety of cars to rent. They give rides until 4:15pm, but close at 6pm, highly dependent on them having an available driver, which is rare and dependent on time. Overall great service. Have all your information to make life easier for you.
Imagine my surprise when I called Hertz customer relations as we drove off. Especially when they told me there is no company pet policy!
THE CAR WAS GREAT AND TURN IN WAS FINE. IT WAS A ONE WAY RENTAL AND WAS TURNED IN ANOTHER LOCATION.
