Well, I guess he went to go find my TV. He didn't bother to tell me or anything. He finally shows back up again, with my TV in a box and I think to myself, "finally! Now I can finally get out of here!"

Fry's used to be a place with great deals and middling customer service. Now it's a place with average deals and disastrous service. It took 47 minutes of standing around at a register to pick up a hard drive and power bank.

Wrong.

What should have taken less than five minutes took over an hour. I am extremely disappointed with the service here. I came in with next-to-nothing expectations, and I still had set the bar too high.

Used to be Incredible Universe when originally opened. Was a big hit when Fry's took over. They were unique in offering a wide variety of electronic and related products. With online ordering and other stores competing, not so much so anymore. This location is getting old and unimpressive. Still appreciate brick and mortar stores though. Might be worth a look again.

I get to the store and go to the pick-up area, tell the guy behind the counter my name and he goes off to find my order. I see him searching the same few places over and over, looking increasingly confused. Come to find out, they canceled my entire order, not just delivery. So I have to go find the TV myself.

Lots of "stuff" in the store, from phone cases, to vacuum cleaners. Staff is generally helpful and eager to get your sale (their commission). They will price match internet prices, just make sure you know what site they are matching.

I go to the section with the TV's, look around a while, pass a few employees who won't even look at me, let alone help me at all. The TV I reserved is nowhere to be found. So I go find the guy behind the counter in the TV section and tell him I want to purchase a TV. He asks the model, size, etc. and without a word, just walks away.

TL;DR: don't come to this place.

The employee starts opening the box without a word. He tries to use a screwdriver to break the plastic straps around the box. Then, again, without a word, he just walks away. I see him wandering around the store for about ten minutes and he finally comes back with a pair of tin snips to cut the plastic straps on the box. He then asks me to help him take it out of the box and set it on a shelf. Then he plugs it in and explains that they have to test it before they can send it with me, because once they put it in my car, I can't return it. He once again asks my help after testing the TV to help him put everything back in the box and he would meet me at the front of the store.

I go up to the front, pay for the TV and start to walk towards the front. I see my guy with the TV. Another guy checks my receipt (because obviously I'm a criminal and should be treated as such) and the TV guy follows me out the door to my car. I actually have to help him load it into my car, which takes him several minutes to situate before I can even lift the thing and be on my way.

I reserved a TV online at this location for same day delivery, because I don't have 2 hours to wander around a poorly organized electronics store filled to the brim with employees that avoid even making eye contact with me. I received a phone call 30 minutes later saying that their earliest delivery was two days away. I told them if I could just pick it up it would be better, and they told me they would cancel the delivery and it would be waiting for me at the store.

Drove for an hour to pick up an item that their website said was in stock. It wasn't. Employee knew it was out of stock days ago and new the online stock level was wrong, but evidently nobody there cares. Ended up taking my business to Microcenter where their stock level was accurate and their employees are helpful.
