We recently purchased a Dining Room set, with table, six chairs and a china cabinet. Dallas, one of their experienced sales persons, assisted me. Dallas is very knowledgeable and professional to work with. She actually made the transaction happen; and, followed up to make sure that we received the set in good order and were happy. As a result, I plan to work with Freed's in the future.
Dallas did a wonderful job helping me pick out my new bed. She was patient and did not rush me unlike other places. She stayed late even past closing to help and answer questions. Her customer service was exceptional. Freed's has great quality furniture with great prices. Really enjoyed my overall shopping experience.
This review is not in regard to the quality or selection at Freed's but rather the behavior of certain salespersons. My sister and I have been customers at this location for several years now. We purchased our very first couch here around 4 years ago and had a completely smooth experience. We never felt rushed or shadowed, our salesperson was straightforward and personable and it was an overall pleasant transaction. While shopping around for an upgrade this week we decided to go back to the store that had served us so well in the past. Upon arrival we were greeted and shown a particular piece we had seen online. We told the associate that we would be taking our time to look around several areas and that WE would come to find THEM if we had any additional questions. Unfortunately what happened over the following 30 minutes was the deciding factor in us not making a purchase. This sales member proceeded to follow us, at a distance, across the entire warehouse including the clearance section. They even went so far as to "hide" behind a cabinet once spotted watching us and would pretend to casually pass by any time we stopped to discuss an item. We were asked at least half a dozen time in those 30 minutes if we needed help ( we did not ) and were never given a chance to look over a piece...in peace! It was incredibly off-putting, downright creepy and this behavior is not the way to make a sale. Customers do want to be hounded and shadowed. We did end up finding something we were interested in and made an attempt to escape this person and speak with someone else. Of course they were not about to let that happen and practically sprinted across the rooms in order to interject. We told them we were no longer interested and made a brisk exit.
Cookie is an outstanding salesperson! She made our shopping experience stress free. She was pleasant, helpful and attentive right when we needed it. Very pleased!
Sincerely, Ted Dillard "A satisfied Customer."
I am sensitive to the fact that the staff works on commission but this is NOT the kind of customer service that should be taught.
Great product and good service from the in-store furniture specialist. The only suggestion is to change the general manager. His manners were very rude instructing the specialist to no allow me to get closer to the cashier when paying, for reasons beyond my comprehension.
*I am not listing the name of this staff member in the above review but if management would like to speak with me to discuss the experience I will gladly name the person involved.*
