This is in regards to the ER.

This is a great place to have a baby. I had my baby here in December 2016. The nurses were so good and very patient to me as a new mom. Thank y'all. My experience with Texas Health Presby was a great one.

I was rushed to this hospital in an ER situation, hospitalized and had surgery, all within a 24 hour period. I was billed over 20K, My carrier paid 5K for this claim based on what was deemed as fair and reasonable and I was responsible for 500.00 (According to my EOB from the carrier) A year later I received a bill from an outside collection agency stating that I owe 15K but they will accept a settlement rate of 4K. I then call my carrier and was told that Presbyterian Dallas was not supposed to balance bill me because this was a true ER and the hospital was paid in full based on UCR. I called and spoke with the business manager Donnna Wade and she was rude and unsympathetic. She told me that they will not fight the carrier for additional payment and that they do not appeal claims if they can bill the patients.

I have given birth here, to my first child. I thought it would be good ideal cause they said its a great hospital to deliver at. So when I was deliver my first son here, other hospital takes baby pictures of your baby when they come so you keep your first baby picture. But this hospital didn't I had save up cause I thought they do it too. But I guess not so I never have that bundle of joy first baby picture when he came. Then one of the nurse who come in your room to pick up the trash she was so rude that she was making to much noise and she left my door open while I was breastfeed him. So my hubby didn't appreciate it at all he didn't like it at all so now he doesn't want to come here again cause we never had our first hospital baby picture and that nurse was rude.

DO NOT GO TO THE HOSPITAL -EVEN IN ER SITUATIONS

Brought my sister in at 8:30PM and there were a few people in the lobby. Writing this at 2:00AM after they've taken vitals, blood and a urine sample. I ask the nurses what the delay is and they come back with "it's been a busy weekend. All hospitals have this delay." I personally called Baylor @ Uptown who has a 10 person wait and Parkland who has a 15 person wait. This isn't an urgent care so I know there are more than 10 beds in this ER unit. Never coming here again. I'll be sure to refute any and all claims sent to the insurance company as well. You complain and don't pay for your food, well you should receive care in a timely manner or the hospital doesn't get paid either.

They are a hospital!!! Yet the way my daughter was handled I was not happy with!!! She was transported from another hospital for an emergency operation she had a tubal pregnancy and was bleeding internally!!! I am happy they did the surgery yet after we were told **nothing** as well as left in the waiting room 3 hours with no info... There was no one around to ask even what floor she was on... We finally found an extension number to call and they had no idea of her... We were put on hold and they finally found that she had been in a room and most of the staff that were present for the surgery was gone for the day!!! And we have been told the Dr's wont be back until tomorrow... I'm really upset we have no info on what has been done... She wanted something (a picture or something) of the baby yet they told her they couldn't give her anything and had to send the baby off for tests which I thought was supposed to be signed for by the mom!!! Yet she was under anesthesia and may not have been aware if they had her to sign anything!!! Smh...

UPDATE: The staff and I figured out at around 4 that she was being treated for the wrong thing. Totally wrong. Had to speak to the nursing supervisor to try to rectify the situation. I can understand trying to better the situation but the staff could've tried a little harder. We didn't end up leaving until 8:30AM. A simple injection or 2 ended up taking 12 hours to do. This was a serious ball-drop on the staff's part.

I am a full-time student , unemployed and will be forced to start my life off with a 15K collection account on my credit report just because I happened to Dallas Presbyterian Hospital happened to be the closes hospital to save my life.
